PhD Philosophy Position in the Field of Superconducting Quantum Circuits

PhD Philosophy Experimental and theoretical investigation of artificial superconducting two-level system has been developed as a field, rich in interesting in the context of quantum computing and cryptography. Far more interesting, like the design of artificial two-level quantum systems (also known as quantum bits) can be used to study the fundamental physics in fields ranging from quantum optics for solid-state physics in regimes not previously accessible. In this context we want to solve one of the major unresolved issues in solid-state physics: the microscopic origin of complex nature of critical High Temperature Superconductor (HTS). Despite various attempts to explain the true nature of superconductivity in these materials interesting, still remains one of the most "burn" topic in condensed matter physics. It is believed that the excitations which holds the secrets of nature. This PhD Philosophy project aims for a deeper understanding of quantum circuitries are made of high critical temperature superconductors (HTS) YBa2Cu3O7-x with potential applications ranging from quantum computing to study solid-state physics in regimes not previously accessible.http://www.callforpapersinfo.com
http://thescholarshipprogramme.com Materials will focus on specific decoherence effects come from the dielectric involved in the fabrication process and the superconductor itself. In the latter case the project will be devoted to experimental investigations of low temperature excitation spectrum of HTS by using two-level quantum system. We will use HTS Josephson junction, acting as the system, embedded in a two-level superconducting resonator. This PhD Philosophy study will provide detailed information on quasiparticle spectrum of HTS, provides access to issues that have not been resolved on the nature of superconductivity in these materials.

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Scholarship Phd Philosophy

Phd Philosophy AIT’s focal point for GMS activities is in the networking under the Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN). GMSARN seeks to ensure that the holistic intellectual knowledge and assets generated, developed and maintained are shared by organizations within the region. Primary emphasis is placed on complementary linkages between technological and socio-economic development issues. GMSARN now includes 15 region’s top-ranking academic and research institutions.
The Phd Philosophy first phase of operation of GMSARN was to establish the structure for networking for collaboration among leading academic and research institutes in GMS region. Now in the second phase, GMSARN will strive to develop high-level academicians and researchers for networking. Thus, AIT has received funding from the Royal Thai Government to establish 10 scholarships to assist human resource development in these thematic areas deemed important for GMS: (1) Infrastructure Development (2) Energy Technology (3) Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Development and (4) Environmental Engineering and Management. A full Phd Philosophy scholarship will be granted to qualified candidates with excellent undergraduate achievements from any of the other 5 countries in GMS to pursue a master’s degree at AIT.
